WATERJET CUTTING

Water jet cutting is a precise alternative to the traditional methods of die cutting, CNC machining, plasma arc cutting and laser cutting. The water jet utilizes a computer controlled, high speed stream of water to “erode” a narrow line in the material. The option of adding a granular abrasive allows a wide range of materials to be cut, from foam to titanium.

“Designed for a wide range of machining needs, the OMAX MAXIEM 1530 sets a higher standard for precision abrasive waterjet machining. The rigid tank design is scaled to handle common plate sizes with room to spare. The advanced linear motion system uses digital linear encoders to provide instant micron-level cutting head position feedback to the controller to assure accurate part production.”
